- Penguins live in Chile.
Penguins don’t only live in Antarctica or at the zoo, they can be found in several areas of southern Chile. They usually lounge on the beach and commute to nearby nests. Humboldt Penguins are also found in the North coast of Chile with a total population of 12,000 breeding pairs in the country.
 - Chile’s Andes Mountains has some of the world’s largest and still active volcanoes.
At a count just over 1,300, Chile is one of the countries with the most volcanoes and a number of them are still active. Three of Chile's most watched and historically active volcanoes are Cerro Arul, Cerro Hudson, and Villarrica.Â
 - Chile has one of the longest coastlines in the world.
At 4,270 km (2,653 mi), Chile is the second longest country in the world, only narrowly being beat out by Brazil, which is 95 kilometers longer.

- Chile has the driest desert on earth.
The Atacama Desert, which is located in the north of the country, has an average annual rainfall of only 0.6 inches a year. Scientists have used the harsh conditions of the Atacama to test Mars rovers, as the desert terrain and volatile conditions are believed to mimic those found on Mars.

- Chile has the world’s largest swimming pool.
Found in the coastal city of Algarrobo, the pool is the length of 20 Olympic-sized swimming pools and holds 66 million gallons, making it a Guinness World Record Holder.

- The Oldest Mummy in the World is from Chile.
The oldest known deliberate mummy is a child, one of the Chinchorro mummies found in the Camarones Valley in Chile around 5050 BC.
