We are therefore delighted to announce that Switzerland mobile is certified, and is available for immediate testing. This means we can now check your numbers against three of the largest mobile network providers in Switzerland – Swisscom, Salt and Sunrise.

  1. Switzerland is also known as Confoederatio Helvetica in Latin – which is the reason for the abbreviation CH.  
  2. Switzerland’s Gotthard tunnel is the longest in the world – measuring 57km in length, located 2.3km under the Alps, it is 7km longer than the Channel tunnel between England and France. It took 17 years to complete.  
  3. Switzerland has four national languages although English is increasingly popular – the four official languages are French, German, Italian and Rhaeto-Romantsch (with Latin roots).  
  4. The Swiss eat more chocolate than any other nation in the world – they eat a record of around 11kg per year. Chocolate is a major Swiss export; with 18 Swiss chocolate companies.  
  5. With a high quality of life, the Swiss cities of Zürich, Geneva and Bern regularly rank in the top 10 most liveable cities in the world.  
  6. The Swiss Guards who protect the Vatican, in the Vatican City are dual citizens and the only Swiss citizens allowed to serve in foreign armies.
