CEO update: the continuing impact of COVID-19 on telecoms

With confirmed covid-19 cases now exceeding 27 million across the globe, Spearline continues to monitor its impact on global telecoms infrastructure.

CHILE has experienced a weak connection rate performance with an average failure rate of 1.34%. However, the country's audio quality is performing well and at high levels reaching an average PESQ score of 4.0 recorded in the past four weeks. 

 

 


INDIA experienced an average connection failure rate of 1.87%, with notable failures of 8.52% & 6.45% recorded on August 12th & 14th. Fortunately, the country's audio quality performance is doing well, reaching an average PESQ score of 3.6 recorded in the past four weeks.

Connection rates in PERU have been performing poorly over the past 4 weeks, with an average failure rate of 1.36% recorded. Audio quality remains stable and is performing well.

 

 

Connection rate performance in TURKEY has continued to decline, with an average failure rate of 1.74% recorded. Audio quality is performing well.

 

 

Countries showing signs of connection failures and audio quality degradation are included in the table below. The table also includes countries whose telecoms infrastructure has been performing extremely well in spite of having very high numbers of Covid-19 cases.
