Connecting: Irish-USA links, staying true to our roots and job creation locally

During 2019, Spearline was privileged to officially open two new offices in Ireland – our headquarters in Skibbereen, Co Cork and our global sales office in Waterford.

In August 2019, Daniel Mulhall, the Ambassador of Ireland to the United States of America, officially opened the new Spearline headquarters while in October 2019 Professor Willie Donnelly, President of Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), launched our Waterford office in ArcLabs Research & Innovation Centre, Co Waterford.  Both were momentous occasions for the company. Our present and future links with the USA were portrayed by having Ambassador Mulhall in Skibbereen and our history with Professor Donnelly in Waterford. Many Spearliners are WIT graduates including Co-Founders, Kevin Buckley, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Matthew Lawlor, Chief Technical Officer (CTO), as well as Liam Dunne, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Speaking at the headquarters event, Daniel Mulhall, the Ambassador of Ireland to the United States of America said, “I am delighted to be involved in the opening of Spearline’s new offices in Skibbereen. I applaud the company for this rapid growth and for its success in servicing clients all over the world from its base in West Cork. It is an example of an innovative and dynamic Irish company with ambitious plans for the future. As Ambassador, I have always made it a priority to support Irish companies in their export effort and wish Spearline well for the next phase of its development.”

Officially opening the Spearline office in Waterford, Professor Willie Donnelly, President at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) said: “The institute is delighted Spearline has chosen to open its global sales office in ArcLabs Research and Innovation centre on the West Campus.  Spearline was founded by WIT graduates who have rapidly grown the company on the international stage. We wish them the best of luck in their future development and look forward to extending our partnership.”

On both occasions, we announced ambitious plans to expand across the entire company and reiterated Spearline’s commitment to “staying true to our roots and creating employment locally.”
